On the 12th August at the Made in Yorkshire launch event, Made in Yorkshire gave a warm welcome to local charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) and presented them with a cheque for £425.

The donation was raised through selling tickets for the launch event. Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a dedicated helicopter emergency service for Yorkshire and the Humber. It was introduced on 1 April 2000, and currently operates two aircraft.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a charitable organization solely maintained by donations as it receives no form of official funding. The vital local service costs more than £12k a day.

Jason Pitt, Made in Yorkshire, said, "Our business is about creating a buzz in industry and we can only do that by getting people to invest in their community and take an interest in what's happening on their doorstep. For us as a group it is very important to be able to put something back. We were delighted to be able to support such a great service as the Yorkshire Air Ambulance."
