The Yorkshire-based stairlift manufacturer, Platinum Stairlifts has appointed two new senior executives, in a move to support the companys current growth and future expansion plans. Sean Woodhouse joins as Platinums new Finance Director, while Brian Holmes will oversee the companys Lean Management operations.
Finance Director, Sean Woodhouse has been appointed to elevate the financial direction of the company, and will focus on scope of business for Platinum. Sean, who comes from an engineering background, having previously worked for Reliance Precision in Huddersfield, brings a wealth of knowledge and a broad range of operational experience to the team.
Sean commented: It is exciting to be involved in a company that is experiencing rapid growth and change. My focus is on the infrastructure of the business and ensuring Platinum meets its targets and achieves its strategy. I am looking forward to introducing new ideas, and implementing improved reporting and analysis systems.
Brian Holmes, who has been appointed as Platinums Lean Management Professional, will be responsible for improving Platinums manufacturing and operating systems. Brian, who is an expert at optimising business processes, will put new strategies in place to ensure the business is more efficient.
Brian commented: Our aim is to be a world class manufacturer, and by introducing Lean methods across our three sites, I am confident we can take Platinum to the next level of manufacturing excellence. Over the last 20 years I have successfully implemented Lean manufacturing systems for market leaders such as Kodak, Horsell Anitec and Heights UK Limited.
