Christmas networking and breakfast success

The first Made in Yorkshire breakfast event since the merger with Manufactured Yorkshire, proved a big success, members and friends of Manufactured Yorkshire attended the special Christmas breakfast morning at All Bar One in Leeds.

More than 20 companies from industry came to network with members and meet the Made in Yorkshire team.

Among those attending was Matt Stevens from Portakabin, "I am looking forward to welcoming members from Made in Yorkshire to The Portakabin breakfast morning and best practice event in the New Year."

E3 Recruitment who have sponsored the Manufactured Yorkshire show for 3 years in a row, said they would be supporting Made in Yorkshire by inviting their client base of more than 90 manufacturing firms to join Made in Yorkshire.

Chrissie Gale, director of Made in Yorkshire said, "I am really excited about driving Made in Yorkshire forward and aim to grow the membership to 150 members by the end of 2017."

Jason Pitt of Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire said "It is important that the Yorkshire region reaches its potential, we must position Yorkshire at the centre of the Northern Powerhouse and be ready to take advantage of the opportunities that will take place for those companies brave enough to invest in R&D, growth and exporting to new markets. 

"2016 was a year of change, but there will be opportunities in 2017 for those who are willing to invest"

The breakfast was concluded with a 60 second presentation from delegates, followed by further networking. 

Made in Yorkshire will be hosting 12 of these breakfast mornings per year, gold members are guaranteed to be able to host a breakfast and best practice morning as part of their membership. Breakfast mornings are free for member companies to attend.
